For many individuals, trauma lies at the core of their addiction. That’s why we partner with locally-based trauma therapists to provide comprehensive trauma-informed therapy outsourced in the community. This clinical support goes beyond the 12-step model, addressing the deep-seated issues that often contribute to substance use, providing residents with a holistic approach to recovery and healing.

Recovery is a journey that takes time, effort, and ongoing support. Our program begins with a minimum 90-day commitment, but residents are encouraged to stay for 6 to 9 months, or even longer if needed. This flexibility allows us to customize the program to fit each individual’s unique needs, increasing their chances of long-term sobriety and success in recovery.

Maintaining sobriety should not come at the expense of academic and career goals. That’s why we’ve partnered with local colleges, universities, and employers to help young adults in recovery return to collegiate studies and the workforce. Our College Student Recovery Program provides the structure and support necessary to succeed academically while staying committed to sobriety.

Successful recovery goes beyond achieving sobriety—it’s about rebuilding a life that fosters independence, purpose, and confidence. Our LifeSkills Coaching program equips residents with essential tools for everyday living, helping them thrive post-recovery. From financial literacy and budgeting to resume building and job placement, we ensure that residents are prepared for life outside of the recovery center.

Our Vision

Provide hope, healing, and a new way of life for families and their loved ones who have been impacted by substance abuse by creating a positive environment where our residents come first and where customer service is of utmost importance

Holistically Healing the Family

Hope, healing, and a new way of life for families and their loved ones

Residents come first at Common Ground Recovery

Addiction is the absence of healthy relationships. People experiencing substance use disorder feel disconnected from themselves, their loved ones, and the community at large. At Common Ground Recovery, we facilitate healthy connections in the lives of our residents to maximize the opportunity for long-term recovery.

Our Transitional Living Model

Residents will graduate through a phased recovery model focused on critical healing needs at varying stages of the recovery process
Phase 1

Identity

(Re)Discover Who You Are

Our initial level of recovery services at Common Ground Recovery aimed at reconnecting with self. Residents participate in an intensive 30 day program, which includes intensive outpatient services outsourced in the community, 12-step recovery programming facilitated by professional and experienced recovery staff, and individual and group therapy outsourced in the community.

Phase 2

Meaning

(Re)Build a Foundation for a Healthy Life
After completing phase 1, residents pass onto the Meaning portion of the program to better equip them for living daily life as a sober individual, forming healthy relationships with themselves and community residents. This phase is where residents will begin to work a job, and/or take college classes, or pursue a vocational track.
Phase 3

Purpose

(Re)Integrate with Community & Live with Purpose

The Purpose phase of the program focuses on reintegration into the larger community to live a life full of purpose, a keystone to long-term recovery. Residents will continue living at Common Ground Recovery, but hold stable employment, attend local 12-step recovery meetings, and receive the most freedoms & responsibilities.

At Common Ground, we want our residents to experience community and connection. We felt like the best way to do that was to provide a safe space where our guys live together in one house and are encouraged to establish relationships with one another.
